in both the eastern and western traditions, Shantiji is a master

wisdom and techniques of Yoga, as well as in the system of philosophy
and psychology on which such techniques are based

The Meditation Institute was founded in 1995 and
is located on the
Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It has blossomed in a several
directions
and serves as a practice Center for the teachings of Shanti Gowans
based on the wisdom principles of non-violence and compassionate
action. We are closely in touch with Nirvana, our retreat center
located
in the Gold Coast hinterland and share the base for our work
